On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Embracing Challenges was proud to participate in the City of Parkland’s Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day, held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pine Trails Park Amphitheatre in Parkland, Florida. The event brought the community together for a morning centered on awareness, acceptance, education, and inclusion.

Embracing Challenges was represented by co-founders Helen Mashburn and Arlie Perez, Clinical Assistant Cinthya Blanco, and RBTs Waleska Aparicio and Marianela Leyva. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Andrew Teblum for helping support our team during this meaningful event.
We are grateful for the opportunity to join families, professionals, educators, and community members in a space dedicated to celebrating and supporting individuals with autism.
Events like this reflect the importance of building inclusive communities and sharing resources that help promote understanding and acceptance. According to the City of Parkland, the event featured activities such as games, live music, art, crafts, face painting, educational resources, and a petting zoo.

At Embracing Challenges, we remain committed to serving our community and advocating for greater autism awareness and acceptance.
We thank everyone who stopped by, connected with our team, and helped make the day so special.
